How to Disable Windows 7 Auto-Update Restart

The auto-update feature in Ms windows seven is a great advantage. Setting up automated up-dates as they become available helps to keep your pc secure and up to date with the newest bug repairs and security areas.

You should have this option permitted, but it can be frustrating when Ms windows regularly nags you to reboot your pc after an upgrade. You will be happy to know that you can easily eliminate auto-restart on your PC.

1. Simply select the Ms windows “Start” selection. Type "gpedit.msc" (without quotes) in the Look for box and press “Enter.” The Local Group Plan Author produces.

2. Simply select “Computer Configuration” on the left side of the screen. Simply select “Administrative Templates” and then click “Windows Components.” Look for down and select “Windows Update.”

3. Double-click the selection for "No auto-restart with signed on customers for planned automated upgrade set ups." In the Qualities screen that seems to be, change the choice from "Not Configured" to "Enabled." Click on "OK" and close the Local Team Policy Writer screen. You will no longer be motivated to reboot your computer after Microsoft windows sets up auto-updates.
